My name is Henrique Velloso, and SnapSong was born from a simple idea: what if every photo had a soundtrack? We take hundreds of photos — of sunsets, road trips, people we love, random beautiful moments — but they stay silent. I wanted to change that.
As a 3x WWDC Scholarship winner (2015, 2017, 2018) and Apple Developer Academy alumnus (BEPiD 2015, one of the first cohorts worldwide), I've been building for Apple platforms for over a decade. One of the core lessons from the Academy has always stayed with me: build something that solves a real problem or makes someone's life easier. With SnapSong, I'm applying exactly that — making music creation accessible to anyone, even people who've never touched an instrument or read a single note.
SnapSong is not a tool for musicians — it's for everyone. Your mom at a birthday party. Your friend on a road trip. A kid pointing the camera at their dog. Anyone can create and have their own song, fast and simple, without understanding anything about music. One photo, and they have a real song — with vocals, lyrics, and a melody that actually matches the moment.
No instruments needed. No musical training. No complicated UI. Just pick a photo, and the magic happens. That's it. That's the whole story.
