iOS 26 app uses Apple Foundation Models on-device to turn a single photo into songs with vocals and lyrics — built by a 3× WWDC Scholar and Apple Developer Academy alumnus
PORTO ALEGRE, Brazil — April 20, 2026 — TrueTapp today announced the launch of SnapSong, an iOS app that transforms any photo into a complete original song — with AI-generated vocals and lyrics — in minutes. Built natively for iOS 26 and powered by Apple Foundation Models, SnapSong is available now on the App Store for iPhone, iPad, and Mac with Apple Silicon.
SnapSong is the first app of its kind. Instead of asking users to describe the music they want, it reads the scene in their photos — a sunset, a road trip, a dog in the backyard — and composes a song that matches the emotion of the image. Users pick a photo and, minutes later, get a full song. Optional keywords (a name, a memory, a feeling) make the result more personal. Every generation produces two unique versions.
The app is built entirely on Apple's latest technologies: the Liquid Glass visual language of iOS 26, ActivityKit for Live Activities and Dynamic Island, WidgetKit for Home Screen widgets, and Apple Foundation Models for an on-device Creative Intelligence engine — which analyzes each user's song history to suggest fresh directions and avoid repetitive output, entirely without sending data to the cloud. SnapSong ships with full accessibility support: VoiceOver, Voice Control, Larger Text, Dark Interface, Sufficient Contrast, and Reduced Motion.
"Photos are silent memories. We take hundreds of them — sunsets, people we love, random beautiful moments — and they stay silent. I wanted to change that," said Henrique Velloso, founder of TrueTapp and creator of SnapSong. "SnapSong isn't a tool for musicians. It's for everyone — your mom at a birthday party, a kid pointing a camera at their dog. One photo, one song. That's the whole idea."
Velloso is a three-time WWDC Scholarship winner (2015, 2017, 2018) and an alumnus of one of the first Apple Developer Academy cohorts worldwide. He has been building for Apple platforms for over a decade.
SnapSong is available today on the App Store. Premium plans are available as monthly and annual subscriptions: $9.99/month or $59.99/year in the United States. Songs and lyrics are generated in English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, and German — auto-detected from the device language. All personal data stays on the user's device.
TrueTapp is an independent Apple-platforms studio based in Brazil, founded by Henrique Velloso. Its published apps include Messenger Multi for AI, Cartoon Maker – ToonFilter, RePrompt, and Trap Raider.
